lyrics
What if I couldn’t love?
If I couldn’t love,
I could speak every earthen and heavenly tongue,
but I’m still a noisy cymbal, just a clashing gong.
And if I had the gift of prophetic psalm,
I’d understand where all God’s secrets are coming from.
Knowing how the stars themselves were hung,
I’d have faith to say mountains to the seas be flung,
but if I couldn’t love, I’d rather return to the dirt I was formed from.
Well you may ask, what is love?
Love is patient, kind and easily renewed.
Not known for being boastfully jealous or being proudly rude.
It does not demand its own way.
It is not irritable, or keeping record of my time spent astray.
It does not rejoice about injustice
but rejoices when the truth is seen through righteousness.
Love never gives up, Love never gives up,
never loses it’s faith, hope or it’s trust.
Love has strength and endurance
to bare through stress and circumstance.
Words of knowledge and speaking through our spirits
and the words of prophets will fade if left incoherent.
But this love thing, it’s the greatest, it will last forever!
As a kid, I spoke, thought and reasoned like kids do.
But now I’m an adult, I’ve put away the things I out grew.
Now we see things imperfectly as in a dirty mirror,
but one day we will see everything so much clearer.
I only know now partially and incompletely,
but one day I will know everything concretely,
just as God knows this mind and heart intimately.
But three things will last forever and ever and ever:
Faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these
the one this song is based off of.

This is the album that got me into Zao. I had heard Splinter, Blood, and Liberate, but they didn't really do it for me (although I did enjoy the listen). Cue the first track on this album. Within the first 30 seconds I knew I had to have it. Bought the cd within the day. This album is a whole 'nother beast.
Oh, and the clean vocals? SPOT ON. TheSpyHunter
